Adaptation Statement

This books is an adaptation of Concepts of Biology — 1st Canadian Edition by Charles Molnar and Jane Gair, which is licensed under a CC BY 4.0 License, chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 were adapted from Concepts of Biology — 1st Canadian Edition. It also includes adapted chapters from two other books. Chapter 1 was adapted from Introductory Animal Physiology by Sanja Hinic-Frlog, which is licensed under a CC BY 4.0 License, and chapter 10 was adapted from  Introduction to Neurobiology by Avinash Singh which is licensed under a  Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Every chapter and section includes an attribution statement crediting the original authors. At the time of publication, the adapting author did not make major changes to the adapted content. Changes include: updating chapter and figure numbering, formatting fixes, and adding accessibility features including alt text.
